About Me

Hi, I’m Alyssa and I am an Asian American artist and writer from Santa Barbara who enjoys discovering new ways to utilize my media and writing skills in an ongoing list of creative side projects. I am the editor-in-chief of Overachiever Magazine and I am currently expanding my digital media portfolio with photography while also trying to write three books at the same time.

I’m not afraid to try new ideas or learn new things. My website and social media is a space for my creative and personal developments as I pursue my dream to write a book someday, and a new plot twist is that I’m a mom now! As I navigate this new chapter of my life, I still aspire to grow in my professional work while building my family. One day I’d like to help create something more sustainable, inclusive, and meaningful for my community.

Sabai is the Thai word for happiness, peace, or bliss — and Sabaitide means to me that everything will be alright no matter the lows and highs. Sabai sabai.

More Context

  • I am currently a stay-at-home-mom raising my almost one year old daughter in Santa Barbara, CA. I have had +5 years of administrative experience working in the floral industry, where I also applied my digital media skills to assist with marketing, graphic design, and advertising. I am interested in finding a job opportunity where I can use my skills to help others and support my family.

  • I designed my website with the intention to showcase some of my creative and personal developments in hopes that this will supplement my professional endeavors, such as future job applications, project proposals, and possible freelance work. My goal is to connect with anyone who is willing to take time out of their day to get to know me in hopes that we can potentially work together.
